Tranquil mountain lake at twilight reflecting peaceful Ayurvedic breathwork for sleep.

Breathing practices have been a staple in my life since I went through my yoga teacher training in 2001. While I often switch up practices depending on the season and my current state of balance, there is a practice for every situation. If I need more energy, I may turn to vigorous practices; if I need cooling, I turn to cooling practices. And when I need to calm my nervous system and prepare for sleep in the fall and early winter, I turn to soothing, Vata-calming practices.

This class is suitable for complete beginners and experienced practitioners alike. This 60-minute live online workshop offers step-by-step instruction in three simple Ayurvedic breathing practices that are especially beneficial for calming Vata dosha. We will move through a guided practice session and finish with a relaxing sleep meditation. You will leave with a simple, repeatable routine you can easily practice at home whenever you need support for peaceful, restful nights.

"I have struggled with sleep for many years, and was both excited and a bit nervous to join Belinda's breathing class, as I am a beginner to Ayurveda. Belinda put me at ease right away. She is an excellent teacher who meets people where they are. The breathwork and other techniques were a bit uncomfortable at first. Once they worked, I was committed to the journey. While having a daily practice felt like it might be a bit much for me at first, I am grateful as it really provided the reinforcement to put in place effective new habits for my sleep. I highly recommend this class and Belinda as a practitioner. " ~LMR
